Saturday, April 29, 2017 marks the 25th anniversary of the 1992 LA Riots. Please join us for poetry, dance and discussion as we remember these events, reflect on how communities have healed since and the work ahead of us. The event will be hosted by writers Tanya Ko Hong and Julayne Elle followed by a potluck reception.
Koreans remember events with dates. Sa I Gu is Korean for “four two nine” (4/29).
330 - 4pm: Arrive
4 - 6pm: Reading, Dance and Video
6 - 730pm: Potluck reception in the Poets' Garden
